LAKEVIEW — The wait is nearly over.
Anticipated Lakeview brewery DryHop finally has an official opening date: Thursday, June 13 at 5 p.m.
Owner Greg Shuff initially wanted to open the pub and brewery last fall but was delayed due to permits and other factors. DryHop Brewery, 3155 N. Broadway, will start serving a food menu by Charlie Trotter's alum Pete Repak the following Friday.
Beer enthusiasts who can't wait for June 13 will be able to test DryHop's special beer growler system on Saturday, June 8, from 1-3 p.m. DryHop will feature a oxygen-free system so that beer stays fresh for the trip home, Shuff has said.
Since the fall, Shuff and brewer Brant Dubovick have been building anticipation and embedding themselves in Chicago's craft beer scene by collaborating with brewers across the city.
