Desperate for an 11th-hour intervention, the groups rallied to save a CTA jobs program for ex-offenders.

Supt. Garry McCarthy said drunken driving and other illegal behavior won't be tolerated.

The program comes as the CTA says it has fixed many of the problems plaguing the new fare system.

The woman was hit by a Red Line train at the 63rd Street Station Wednesday morning, the CTA said.

"Santa's Express" debuted Friday at the Midway Orange Line Station for its 22nd season.

The changes include more frequent service and longer trains along six lines.

The wooden "L" station platform would get new stairways, lighting and elevators.

The decorated "L" train will make appearances on every CTA line.
