Ald. James Cappleman in the North Side's 46th Ward said, "I wasn't dreaming big enough."

Ald. Willie Cochran faced Kevin Bailey in Tuesday's runoff election.

With 97 percent of votes in, Mitts topped Stamps by about 500 votes.

 Patrick Daley Thompson beat out John Kozlar in the South Side's 11th Ward. 

Raymond Lopez defeated Chicago Police Officer Rafael Yanez.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel defeated challenger Jesus "Chuy" Garcia.

Brookins won 41 percent of the vote in February, leading him to Tuesday's runoff with McNeil.

The runoff election results for the West Side ward will come in Tuesday night.

Scott said running for the 24th Ward seat, beating out 9 other candidates, was "very humbling."

The 36th Ward runoff pitted Gilbert Villegas against Omar Aquino to replace Ald. Nicholas Sposato.

With more than 80 percent of the votes reported, Cappleman has won 53.78 percent to Crawford's 46.22.

Incumbent veteran of 15th Ward faces daughter of former 16th Ward alderman.

Incumbent Deborah Graham has raised $200,000 more than lawyer and Police Sgt. Chris Taliaferro.

Both candidates hoped the mayoral race would turn out more of their supporters.

An alderman for the Northwest Side ward will be elected Tuesday night in a runoff election.
