Jessica Cabe is a reporter/producer covering Lakeview for DNAinfo Chicago.

Before joining DNAinfo in September 2017, Jessica worked in PR and marketing for the Aspen Music Festival and School in Aspen, Colo., one of the largest summer classical music festivals in country. She also worked as the arts and entertainment editor for the Glenwood Springs Post Independent in Glenwood Springs, Colo., covering community arts and cultural organizations in the then-newly-launched weekly A&E insert, Scene.

She held internships at Northern Public Radio (WNIJ) in DeKalb, Relix magazine in New York City and various other news organizations in Illinois, New York and South Carolina.

Jessica is from Rockford, and graduated from Northern Illinois University before earning her master’s in arts journalism from Syracuse University.

She lives in Lakeview and enjoys making pottery, singing karaoke and hanging out with her cat, Gene.

Fun Fact: Jessica feels better when her cash is alphabetized by each bill’s serial number (after putting them in order from greatest to least value).
