UPTOWN — J.J. Peppers closed Friday in Uptown.
The store at 4800 N. Sheridan Road was dark and emptied out with a red sign on the door stating "sorry, we're closed."
Neighborhood Blog Uptown Update reported earlier this week the store had been offering various discounts and the shelves had been pretty bare.
Condolences were written on the store's Facebook page.
