West Town, Pilsen Burglaries Prompt Police Warning

CHICAGO — A burglar broke into homes in Pilsen and West Town twice last week, police said.

The burglar forced his way into the homes through the back doors, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The burglaries occurred:

• 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 1600 block of South Ruble Street

• 1:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of West Hubbard Street

One burglar was described as a 20- to 30-year-old black man who was 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9 and 160-180 pounds, police said. He wore a dark-colored jacket or sweat, dark-colored pants and drove a black Crysler 300 with tinted windows.
