Manuel Mendoza, 18, And Alexis Ceron-Salgado, 20, Killed In Pilsen

CHICAGO — Two men were shot to death in Pilsen on Saturday, police said.

At 10:52 a.m., the men were driving when they stopped in the 1800 block of South Throop Street and flashed a gun at someone, police said. The other person then fired shots at the two.

One man, 18, was hit in his neck. The other man, 20, was hit somewhere in his body. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Manuel Mendoza, 18, of the 2500 block of South Sawyer Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:11 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. Alexis Ceron-Salgado, 20, of the 8400 block of South Baker, was pronounced dead at 11:11 a.m.

The person who shot them ran away, police said. No one was in custody.
