LOGAN SQUARE — A shop selling curated jewelry and accessories is joining the neighborhood.

Jewelry designer Viviana Langhoff recently took over the storefront next to The Logan Theatre, 2466 ½ N. Milwaukee Ave., with a goal of highlighting "emerging artists and brands who are crafting the future of functional art and design," according to a news release.

The shop, dubbed Adornment + Theory, will have a soft opening in about two weeks. A grand opening party, complete with "bites and bubbles," is planned for November. Specific details will be released on social media in the coming days.

It's the first retail store for Langhoff, who has more than 10 years of experience designing jewelry under the moniker One Origin Jewelry.

"With Adornment + Theory, I want to change the jewelry game by engaging and representing emerging artists and designers who are leading the future in wearable art," Langhoff said in a prepared statement.

At the shop, customers will be able to hire Langhoff to create custom jewelry, including engagement rings. The shop will offer a "jewelry bar," where customers can sip on a beverage and talk through custom designs with Langhoff.

A curated selection of already-made pieces from emerging designers, as well as accessories, including watches, handbags, leather goods and handcrafted scarves, will round out the store.
