ANDERSONVILLE — Hutch American Kitchen and Bar will have a new home in Andersonville.
The restaurant will fill the back half and patio of the former Cantina 1910, 5025 N. Clark St., owner Marc Wuenschel said. Another business will likely fill the rest of the sprawling building, but details on that were not immediately available. The news was first reported by Uptown Update.
"We've always liked Andersonville and we have a lot of our regulars that come down [from Andersonville] to Lakeview," he said.
The location will be the third from Hutch American Concepts, which includes Hutch Bistro in Lakeview and Hutch American Cafe in River North.
The restaurant will offer brunch, dinner and a late-night menu. The menu includes steak 'n fries, a steakburger, brisket mac n' cheese, babyback ribs, pork chops and vegetarian options.
The brunch menu includes Nutella dough poppers, avocado toast, totchos and fried chicken and corn waffle. A prototype of the dinner and brunch menu are included below.
Bar patrons can expect some of Hutch's standard cocktails alongside some new additions unique to the Andersonville location, Wuenschel said.
"I've got a young kid and she eats like a smidge," he said, adding the restaurant will have a special time during the week and on Sunday where kids can eat free so "parents don't have to worry."
Specials will also include half-price wine night and $12 steak 'n fries, which is usually sold for $22, he said.
The restaurant will have seating for about 90 inside and the patio will accommodate another 35, he said.
Hutch American Kitchen and Bar plans to open in "late November, if not early December," he said.
