CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man died after being shot in his head in Little Village Friday night, police said.
The incident occurred at 7:10 p.m. in the 4000 block of West 25th Place, police said.
The victim was walking when another person walked up and shot him. Police believe the incident may have been gang-related.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
uan Vargas, of the 4400 block of West 59th Street, was pronounced dead at 7:53 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
