
CHICAGO — Shootings have left two people dead and six wounded since Thursday, police said.
• At 2:42 a.m. Friday, a 34-year-old man was shot and killed in North Lawndale.
• At 12:09 p.m. Thursday, a 22-year-old man was shot to death in Chatham. Another man, 41, was wounded.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 12:25 a.m. Friday, a 21-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn, police said. The man was outside on a porch in the 6500 block of South Troy Street when he heard shots and felt pain.
The man was hit in his torso and twice in his side. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
• At 6 p.m. Thursday, a 25-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, police said. The man was getting out of his car in the 400 block of East Oakwood Boulevard when two people walked up to to him, demanded the man's car and fired shots.
The man was hit in his upper right thigh and was taken to Northwestern Hospital. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
The attackers drove off in the man's car, police said.
• At 3:01 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was shot while walking outside on the Near West Side. The boy was critically wounded.
• At 1:58 p.m., a 35-year-old woman and 26-year-old man were shot in Grand Crossing, police said. The two were standing on the corner in the 6400 block of South King Drive when a dark-colored Honda drove by and someone in the car fired shots.
The woman was hit in her leg and was taken to Northwestern Hospital. The man was hit in his hand and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital. Their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
