WICKER PARK — Taus Authentic Food & Drink is closed, according to a sign in the window.

Located in the former Prasino at 1846 W. Division St., Taus Authentic Food & Drink opened in Feb. 2015 offering contemporary American dishes in a casual setting.

A sign announcing "We will be closed temporarily for remodeling & reconcept" appeared in the window of the 150-seat restaurant on Friday.

Owner and chef Michael Taus confirmed that he has new plans for the location, and said more details would be announced soon.

Taus started his career 28 years ago, working under Chef Charlie Trotter. In 1993, he opened Zealous, an upscale restaurant that closed in 2012.
