Armed Robbers In Bandanas Strike Three Times In Albany Park, Police Warn

ALBANY PARK — Victims have been robbed at gunpoint three times in recent weeks in Albany Park by a group of men wearing hoodies and bandanas to cover their faces, according to a community alert issued by police.

Three to four suspects were involved in each of the robberies. They are described as black males, wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandanas. In one incident, they fled in a black four-door vehicle, possibly a Honda, and in another in a maroon car with tinted windows, possibly a Chevy Impala, police said.

The robberies took place:

• 2900 Block of West Sunnyside Avenue, Aug. 19 at 11:50 p.m.

• 4400 Block of North Sacramento Avenue, Aug. 24 at 10:16 p.m.

• 3400 Block of West Sunnyside Avenue on Sept. 1 at 3:30 a.m.
