Little Village Shootings Wound 3 People

CHICAGO — Three people were wounded in shootings in Little Village on Sunday, police said.

• At 11:02 p.m., an 18-year-old man was in the 2700 block of West 23rd Street when a car drove by and someone inside the car fired shots at the man, police said.

The man was hit in his stomach and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The man is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 6:25 p.m., two men were in the 2300 block of West Sacramento Avenue when a light-colored van drove up and several people in the car fired shots, police said.

A 29-year-old man was hit in his foot and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said. The other man, whose age was unknown, was hit in his abdomen and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
