Derrick Nabors Jr., 31, Shot Dead In Washington Park

CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in the Washington Park neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said.

At 2:16 a.m., officers were called to the area and found the man's body lying on the ground in the 6200 block of South King Drive, police said. The man had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Derrick Nabors Jr., of the 6200 block of South Indiana Avenue, was pronounced dead at 2:26 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

No one was in custody.
