WICKER PARK — Cold-pressed juices, smoothies, Acai bowls and healthy treats like coconut jerky will soon be available at Real Good Juice Co.'s third standalone Chicago location that's set to open Friday in Wicker Park.
Just north of the bustling Milwaukee, Damen and North avenues intersection, a sign announcing "Hello Bucktownians and Wicker Parker Pals" went up in the window of 1616 N. Damen Ave. earlier this month.
The 535-square-foot storefront is along a stretch of street that many consider to be both Bucktown and Wicker Park.
Owner Jon Schiff, a former trader who opened his first Real Good Juice Co. in Old Town in 2014, and followed that with a Lakeview shop, said Wednesday that he plans to "soft open" the new outpost Friday and Saturday.
A grand opening party is set for 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
The festivities on Sunday will include free samples, giveaways, live music and discounts, such as half off toasts from 10 a.m.-noon, half off smoothies from 1-3 p.m. and a Happy Hour from 5-7 p.m. with $2 off juices and $1 shots.
The new location will feature the brand’s full menu of juices, smoothies and food such as acai bowls, coconut jerky, granola and salads.

According to a spokeswoman, the Chicago-based cold-pressed juice and smoothie company works with local farmers to find the freshest organic ingredients available. There are three pounds of organic fruits and vegetables in every juice bottle, she said.
In addition to the three dedicated locations, Real Good Juice Co. operates stands inside of nine different Whole Foods grocery stores around the city and suburbs.
