57th Street Art Fair Being Remembered As It Turns 70 With Day Of Stories

HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Historical Society is taking Sunday to remember the history of the 57th Street Art Fair as it celebrates its 70th anniversary.

The historical society will present an oral history of the art fair and of 57th Street more generally from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Montgomery Place, 5550 S. South Shore Drive.

People are asked to bring their own memories to share, as well as any artifacts, memorabilia or posters that help tell the story of the art fair.
