Near West Side Shooting Wounds 2 People, Including 78-Year-Old Man

CHICAGO — A shooting in Near West Side wounded a 78-year-old man and 20-year-old man on Thursday, police said.

At 3:35 p.m., the men were in a car in the 2300 block of West Warren Boulevard when several people walked up to their car, fired shots and ran away, police said.

The 78-year-old man was hit in his left leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. The 20-year-old man was hit in his chest and was in critical condition at the same hospital.

No one was in custody.
