CHICAGO — Police issued a community alert early Saturday after two early-morning break-ins at a school on the Near West Side.
The alert did not identify the school by name, only that it is in the 200 block of Laflin Street, where Whitney Young Magnet High School is located.
Police said the break-ins occurred at 1:56 a.m. June 9 and 3:26 a.m. June 15, and they suspect four or five burglars were involved.
Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8382.
