CHICAGO — A 39-year-old man was found shot to death near the UIC Medical District Sunday night, police said.
At 11:35 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person found and discovered the man lying face-down in the street in the 1800 block of West 14th Street, police said.
The man had been shot in his head, police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances of the shooting are unknown.
The man was identified as Jermaine Blandin, of the 4900 block of West Monroe Street, in Cook County Medical Examiners' Office records. Blandin was pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m.
No one was in custody.
