Javon Jackson, Sedrick Ringer And John Hunter Shot To Death In Englewood

CHICAGO — A 30-year-old man and 50-year-old man were shot to death on an Englewood porch Friday night, police said, and a third man later was found slain there.

At 8:50 p.m., the men were on the porch of a home in the 5700 block of South Wells Street when two people walked up and fired shots, police said.

The 50-year-old man, identified as Sedrick Ringer of the 5700 block of South Princeton in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records, was hit in his chest and leg and was pronounced dead at the scene Friday, police said.

Ringer was pronounced dead at 9:37 p.m., and an autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

The 30-year-old man, identified as Javon Jackson of the 4700 block of South Shields in morgue records, was hit in his chest and legs and taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m. Friday.

The third victim was identified by the morgue as John Hunter, 52, of the same block where he was killed. Hunter was pronounced dead at 12:27 p.m. Saturday.

The men's attackers got into a white car and drove off, police said. Two people were detained, police said, but no one is in custody.
