CHICAGO — Shootings have killed four people and wounded seven since Wednesday, police said.
• At 7:32 p.m., a 16-year-old was slain in a shooting in Ashburn while he walked with his brother.
• At 4:28 p.m., a 24-year-old man was gunned down in Humboldt Park.
In non-fatal shootings:
• At 11:02 p.m. Wednesday, a 23-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was in a group standing outside in the 4900 block of West Fulton Street when someone fired shots at them.
The man was hit in his pelvis and leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
• At 10:35 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The man was standing on a front porch in the 7800 block of South Aberdeen Street when a car went by and someone inside fired shots.
The man was hit in his hip and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, police said.
• At 8:14 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, police said. The man was in the 6500 block of South Ashland Avenue when he was shot in his abdomen.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
• At 5:35 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Woodlawn, police said. The man was in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when a dark-colored car pulled up next to him and someone inside the car fired shots at the man.
The man was hit in his stomach and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.
• At 2:28 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot and another person injured by the shooting in West Humboldt Park.
• At 10:13 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was shot in a home on the border of Roseland and West Pullman.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
