Man Injured In Near West Side Shooting Wednesday Night

NEAR WEST SIDE — One man was injured in a shooting on the Near West Side Wednesday night. 

At about 7:54 p.m. Wednesday, one man was shot in the upper right leg in the 2400 block of West Jackson Boulevard near the intersection with Western Avenue, Chicago Police said. 

Men in dark colored clothing began firing shots at the victim, striking him, police said, before fleeing the scene on foot. 

The victim was transported to Stronger Hospital in good condition, police said. 

Area Central detectives are investigating the shooting. 

No other information, including the victim's age, was immediately available.

Antwon High, 26, was killed and two other men were injured in shooting in the 200 block of South Hoyne Avenue near Touhy-Herbert Park on the Near West Side Tuesday night. 

Six people were shot on the Near West Side Sunday.
