CHICAGO — At least it was for a good cause.
A handful of lucky audience members at a fundraiser for the Chicago Fringe Festival on Thursday got to dump a bucket of phosphorescent slime on top of Ald. John Arena (45th), marking an appropriate end to a performance titled "Five Fifths of Ghostbusters."
Attendees at Thursday's fundraiser entered into a raffle for the chance to douse Arena, according to Anne Cauley, an organizer for the event.
"It was quite the grand finale," Cauley wrote in an email.
The eighth annual Chicago Fringe Festival is set to include about 200 performances by 50 different groups all around Jefferson Park from Aug. 30-Sept. 10 this year.
