Chicago Bear Kevin White's Maserati Carjacked In Latest 'Bump-And-Run'

CHICAGO — A white Maserati owned by Chicago Bears receiver Kevin White got nabbed from his girlfriend in Chicago's latest "bump-and-run" carjacking in the West Loop.

White's 26-year-old girlfriend was driving the high-end sports car Thursday evening when she was targeted, according to multiple reports.

Police said at 6:30 p.m. Thursday  the woman was in the 400 block of North May Street when someone rear-ended her car at a stop sign, police said.

The woman got out of the car to check for damage and two people got into the woman's car, a white Maserati, and drove away.

The woman was not injured during the robbery, police said. No one was in custody.

The area has seen a rash of "bump-and-run" robberies where someone rear-ends a victim's car and when, the victim gets out, a person gets into the car and drives away. Two similar attempted carjackings were reported in the West Loop and Little Italy recently.

Before that, there were two similar "bump-and-run" robberies on the Near West Side.
