LINCOLN SQUARE — What happens to Christmas trees that don't sell?

Well, in the case of some firs, they're still standing in the Lawrence Avenue tree lot they've called home since November.

As the world turns ever greener around them, these decaying reminders of a once festive season grow ever browner.

We prefer to remember happier times.
