RIVER NORTH — River North's newest rooftop bar is Noyane, a Japanese-inspired lounge led by the chef behind Latinicity.

The bar from chef Richard Sandoval will open at 4 p.m. Monday atop the Conrad Chicago hotel, 101 E. Erie St.

Noyane — which means "hidden roof" in Japanese — will feature contemporary Japanese cuisine and drinks from Michael Fawthrop, who has curated beverage menus at the LondonHouse Hotel on Michigan Avenue and Cantina 1910 in Andersonville, among other places.

Noyane's drink menu will include a wide array of Japanese whiskys, beer, wine as well as craft cocktails featuring Sapporo, Sake, green tea-infused gin and other ingredients.

The Conrad opened last year at Rush and Erie streets, and Noyane will offer views of the Mag Mile. Baptiste & Bottle, a bourbon-themed bar, opened last year on the hotel's 20th floor.

Noyane will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, noon to midnight on Friday and 10 a.m. to midnight on weekends. The seasonal bar will close for winter after the weather gets cold in the fall. Reservations are not accepted.
