Pilsen Shootings Wound 2, Including 14-Year-Old Boy, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings in Pilsen left two people wounded in just 11 minutes, police said.

• At 12:01 a.m. Sunday, a 14-year-old boy was walking on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of West 18th Street in Pilsen when two men walked up and fired shots, police said.

The boy was hit in his right bicep and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 11:50 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was in a car in the 1800 block of South Western Avenue in Pilsen when someone in a gray-colored car fired shots at him.

The man was hit in his right leg and he took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
