PILSEN — Thousands of Catholics descended on 18th Street in Pilsen Friday morning to celebrate the life of Jesus Christ in an annual Good Friday tradition.

The Living Stations of the Cross consists of live scenes representing the day before Jesus was crucified, each marked with crosses along procession routes.

The 40th annual Pilsen Via Crucis march began with a re-enactment of the Last Supper at Providence of God Parish, 717 W. 18th St. It traveled to the re-enactment of the crucifixion at Harrison Park before ending at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 1650 W. 17th St.
