
DOWNTOWN — Sidney Crosby beats Jonathan Toews — at least when it comes to who had the most popular NHL jersey last year.
The NHL sold more Crosby jerseys this season than it did for any other player, though Hawks captain Toews and player Patrick Kane came in at No. 3 and No. 2, respectively. The results were released by the NHL on Wednesday, the first day of the playoffs.

Toews and Kane jersey have routinely been among the most popular in the NHL for several years. Crosby's surge in jersey popularity comes off the Penguins winning the Stanley Cup last year.
The Blackhawks play the Predators at 7 p.m. Thursday at the United Center. The Chicago team was one of the best in the league during the regular season, winning 50 games and collecting 109 points.
