THE LOOP — Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber is signing autographs Tuesday at the State Street Macy's.
Schwarber, known for crushing baseballs and his World Series heroics, will appear at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the handbags department of the big Loop department store at 111 N. State St.
Schwarber will sign autographs for the first 100 customers who make a $35 purchase at the Locker Room by LIDS Shop in the lower level of Macy's. Qualifying shoppers will get a wristband to get in line for a potential autograph and photo with Schwarber upstairs.
Schwarber also will field a short question-and-answer session with fans before the autograph session, a Macy's spokeswoman said.
The store opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Drafted fourth overall by the Cubs in the 2014, Schwarber already has provided Cubs fans with the stuff of legend in his young career. He famously launched a homer on top of Wrigley Field's right field video board in 2015, and shattered a windshield with another long ball at spring training last year.
He hit a Clydesdale horse with another homer this month and returned to the Cubs lineup for the 2016 World Series after suffering a major knee injury earlier in the season.
