JEFFERSON PARK — The Radio Shack at Gladstone Corners, 5316 N. Milwaukee Ave., will sell its last gadget on Saturday, the store's manager told DNAinfo Thursday.

The closure was part of a nationwide purge of Radio Shack stores announced earlier this month that targets a full 36 percent of the chain's locations around the country, according to Business Insider.

The Gladstone Park store had originally been slated to close on Tuesday, but it got a short-lived reprieve when Radio Shack higher-ups delayed picking up the remainder of the shop's wares, according to Louis, the store manager, who declined to say his last name.

Since the closure was announced earlier this month, the store has offered discounts of up to 90 percent on some items to clear its shelves.

The Gladstone Park location was one of 14 Radio Shacks to get the axe in Illinois, including one in the city's McKinley Park neighborhood, at 3150 S. Ashland Ave., according to Business Insider.
