WICKER PARK — Coffee and breakfast taco lovers, rejoice. There is a new cafe in town with the Wednesday opening of Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea Bar.

At 1620 N. Milwaukee Ave., a few doors north of The Robey hotel, the sunny 40-seat Fairgrounds offers seating at a counter overlooking Milwaukee Avenue, booths and a communal table.

All day Wednesday, 20 percent of sales will be donated to Wicker Park's A.N. Pritzker School, Fairgrounds' owner Michael Schultz said. All year long, the cafe will offer 10 percent off to all CPS employees.

Fairgrounds offers pour-over and cold-brewed coffee served on draft from a variety of roasters, as well as Rishi tea, sparkling tea elixirs, specialty beverages and granitas, in addition to kombuchas.

Food options include hot and cold sandwiches, salads, pastries, breakfast tacos, avocado toast breakfast bowls and a number of grab-and-go options, according to the menu.

Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea Bar, 1620 N. Milwaukee Ave. Hours are 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays, 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturdays and 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays.
