2 Fulton Market Robberies Trigger Police Alert

FULTON MARKET — Police are alerting West Loop residents after two robberies were reported in the Fulton Market neighborhood earlier this month. 

In the incidents, reported March 9 and March 13, victims were approached and robbed of their personal belongings. 

The robberies occurred: 

• at 3:10 p.m. March 9 in the 800 block of West Wayman Street 

• at 5:10 p.m. March 13 in the 400 block of North Sangamon Street 

The suspect is described as a 30-40 year old black man, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, and approximately 200-240 pounds, according to police.
