WEST LOOP — West Loop bars are decking the halls ahead of St. Patrick's Day celebrations this weekend — and one bar will be breaking out a giant green piñata.

Federales, the Four Corners Tex-Mex restaurant and bar at Lake and Morgan, will be celebrating the beloved Irish holiday with a 15-foot green piñata and green ice shots starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Ahead of the weekend, neighbors spotted the giant piñata in the bar's beer garden from the Morgan "L" platform.

WestEnd, at 1326 W. Madison St., will celebrate with a $20 brunch buffet and and a premium bar package complete with a corned beef station from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

New Line Tavern and Grill, 201 N. Clinton St., will offer a $20 Kegs and Eggs package from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday that includes drafts of green beer, bloody marys, mimosas and an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

Dugans on Halsted, 128 S. Halsted St., will host the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Paddy O'Fegan's, 204 N. Halsted St., will open at 10 a.m. Saturday and serve up green beer, corned beef sandwiches and Irish stew.
