CHICAGO — Kamari Belmont, 23, was shot to death in Little Village on Monday night, officials said.
At 11:43 p.m., the man was a passenger in a car driving in the 3300 block of South California Avenue when someone in a white SUV pulled alongside him and fired shots at the car, police said.
The man tried to get out of the car and run away, but he collapsed, police said. He was shot multiple times throughout his body.
Belmont, of the 4500 block of South Drexel Ave., was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
