WEST LOOP — The owners of popular Parlor Pizza Bar in the West Loop plan to open a Tex-Mex restaurant in the neighborhood next year.

Partners Michael Bisbee and Tim Hendricks plan to open the new restaurant at 942 W. Randolph St. in the building formerly home to Roins Produce in the summer of 2018, they confirmed Monday. The new restaurant will have a "South of the border" theme, focusing on Tex-Mex food with a "country music vibe."

In a statement, Bisbee and Hendricks said they are excited to expand in the West Loop.

“The last two years have shown a lot of growth in the area and we look forward to continuing to contribute to the neighborhood's success," the statement read.

A restaurant name has not yet been announced.

Specializing in Neapolitan-inspired pizzas, the group opened Parlor Pizza Bar on Green in the West Loop in September 2014 and a Wicker Park outpost on Division in June 2016.
