Chicago Police SWAT Team Called To Barricade Situation In Little Village

CHICAGO — A Chicago Police Department SWAT team was called to the scene of an incident at 23rd and Rockwell streets in Little Village Thursday. 

About 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the SWAT team responded to a barricade situation in the 2600 block of West 23rd Street, confirmed Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Police Department spokeswoman.

Police said that an offender was taken into custody, and no one was injured. 

A neighbor recorded the incident on Facebook Live. 

After the SWAT team and truck left the scene, around 3 p.m., an ambulance arrived.
