HYDE PARK — Rōti Modern Mediterranean will open Tuesday night in the Harper Court Development.
The restaurant will open its doors for the first time at 1526 E. 53rd Street at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
People who donate to the Hyde Park Art Center at the door will get a free entrée on Tuesday between 5-8 p.m.
“We’re excited to bring a Rōti Modern Mediterranean to Chicago’s South Side in Hyde Park,” says Carl Segal, CEO of Rōti, in a prepared statement. “Like the new MetraMarket location, Hyde Park will have an all-around cooler vibe that brings modern Mediterranean to life alongside the bustling University of Chicago campus.”
The Hyde Park location opens as Rōti changes its offerings, adding red lentil soup, cauliflower tabbouleh, spicy green s’hug sauce and other items to the menu.
Rōti is also currently running a social media campaign offering a free order of falafel and a chance to get a free lunch every day for the next year. Details are available on the contest website.
