ANDERSONVILLE — After a month-long soft opening, Orange Shoe Personal Fitness is ready to help any residents in the area get in shape for the new year.

The company spent December "slowly putting everything together" at its Andersonville location, 5609 N. Clark St., and is currently ready to take on clients for group classes and personalized training, said owner Ted Fournier.

"We serve whoever walks through the door" Fournier said, adding the program is tailored specifically to each client.

During the last three weeks, the new location has added about 50 clients.

Clients of the company span the scale of fitness levels from teenagers to bed-ridden seniors. About 20 percent of the business is done through in-home visits with seniors, he said.

"It's not a place you come and work out once," Fournier said.

Typically, people sign up for eight sessions and the program has about a 95 percent retention rate, he said. For rates per session, click here.

The facility has options for cardio training, strength training, cross training, kettle ball training and power yoga. It hosts about eight classes a day "before work, after work and in the middle of the day," Fournier said.

Soap, shampoo and towels are also available in the bathrooms, so clients "don't need to bring anything" to freshen up after the workouts, he said.

"We pride ourselves in keeping [the place] really clean," he said.

Orange Shoe Personal Fitness is currently offering a free first class.
