MAYFAIR — The holiday season just got a whole lot happier for fans of the Filipino fast food chain Jollibee, which opened its first Chicago location Thursday morning.

Known for its "crispylicious" Chickenjoy, peach mango pie and sweet spaghetti sauce, Jollibee joins Red Ribbon Bake Shop in the Seafood City complex, which replaced a shuttered Kmart at 5033 N. Elston Ave.

The Chicago restaurant opening comes on the heels of a Skokie outpost, which opened in August.

Jollibee's hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
