WICKER PARK —  Sushi Burrito plans to open its third Chicago outpost around the corner from the CTA Blue Line Division "L" station on Thursday.

"It was a long time. It feels great. It's so exciting," owner Ganzorig Amgalanbaatar said of the third location, a 20-seat eatery at 1238 N. Milwaukee Ave. that had first targeted a September opening.

The Wicker Park eatery, which is BYOB, follows a Sushi Burrito at 2904 N. Broadway Ave. in Lakeview, which opened last March and Sumo Sushi Burrito, which opened nearly three years ago at 1752 N. Sheffield Ave. in Lincoln Park.

Amgalanbaatar said Wicker Park Sushi Burrito will also be open on Friday, but will close on Saturday and Sunday for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

"We will be back open on the 26th," he said.

About five new jobs were created as a result of the new addition to the neighborhood, which brings a giant piece of sushi — one that you can eat with your hands instead of chopsticks — to the culinary scene, as well as other menu items like poke bowls.

Menu items range between $9 - $13 and there is a dine-in only lunch special for a $5 spicy tuna burrito from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, according to a flier provided by Amgalanbaatar.
