LITTLE ITALY— A Little Italy business owner was charged Friday after he fired shots at police officers early Thursday morning, police said. 

Marco DiPaolo, 22, of the 1000 W Block of Taylor St., was charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of possessing a gun without a valid firearm owner's identification card. 

DiPaolo, who was arrested Thursday in the 800 block of South Miller Street after he fired shots at police officers, authorities said.

DiPaolo resisted arrest while being placed in custody.

DiPaolo, who owns Mint Clothing, 1058 W. Taylor St., is the son of Mario DiPaolo Jr., who owns Mario’s Italian Lemonade

DiPaolo previously was arrested for theft and battery in 2015, officials said.
