GLADSTONE PARK — The owners of BRGRBelly will close down their Gladstone Park outpost, one of three restaurants they operate on the Northwest Side, according to a Friday Facebook post.

Owners Nicole and Steve O'Brien decided not to renew their three-year lease for the location at 5691 N. Milwaukee Ave., opting instead to move the site to suburban Rosemont, they wrote in a post.

"To all of our many regular customers, we are forever grateful for your tireless support and advocacy of our desire to create a warm, welcoming neighborhood restaurant owned and operated by our family for the residents of Gladstone Park & the Northwest side of Chicago," they wrote.

The restaurant will shut its doors at the end of December, according to the post. Until then, they'll sell discounted burgers at $5 apiece.

The owners are in "final negotiations" for their new location in Rosemont, fixing on a "tentative opening date of late summer 2017," they wrote.

The original BRGRBelly, located in Portage Park, continues to serve up Easy Riders and Black Betties at 5739 W. Irving Park Road. The restaurant was previously called Leadbelly, until a naming dispute led them to re-brand in 2015.

The duo also operates Beef Belly, 4800 N. Central Ave., in Jefferson Park. That spot specializes in beef sandwiches, but it will begin serving burgers in January, the owners wrote.
