WRIGLEYVILLE — Shake Shack will open its fourth Chicago location in the massive Addison & Clark development currently being built near Wrigley Field.

The fast-casual eatery is the first restaurant announced for the $140 million mixed-use development that will anchor the southeast corner of Clark and Addison, across the street from Wrigley Field.

The Mexico-based Cinemex theater chain will open its first Chicago movie theater in the complex as well.

Known for its burgers, crinkle-cut fries and handmade shakes, Shake Shack first opened in Chicago with a River North storefront in 2014, followed by a Michigan Avenue location six months later.

A third Chicago Shake Shack is expected to open in the red-hot Fulton Market next year. There is also a Shake Shack in Skokie, and the chain has spread to 14 states, Washington D.C., Japan, Russia and South Korea.

As with the other Chicago Shake Shacks, the Wrigleyville restaurant will include ingredients from local shops like Glazed and Infused, Intelligentsia and Bang Bang Pie Shop in its extra-thick frozen custard "concrete" milkshakes.

There's also a special Shack-cago Dog on the menu, served up in true Windy City style with relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard.

Burger options at Shake Shack include a classic version with ShackSauce, a SmokeShack cheeseburger topped with bacon and cherry pepper and a fried portobello mushroom burger with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses.

The New York-based burger chain has collaborated with top Chicago chefs on specialty burgers in the past. Most recently, Stephanie Izard teamed up to create the Little Goat Burger in celebration of the Chicago Cubs' World Series championship.

The Little Goat cheeseburger came topped with spiced goat chili, pickled peppers and sour cream and served on a toasted potato bun. The specialty burger was only available on Nov. 4 during the Cubs rally.

Addison & Clark began construction in August. It is expected to take about two years to build the L-shaped, 2.3-acre retail and apartment complex.
