Albany Park Shooting Wounds Man, 38, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Albany Park wounded a 38-year-old man on Thursday afternoon, police said.

At 1:50 p.m., the man was walking in the 4000 block of North St. Louis Avenue when he heard a loud noise and felt pain, police said.

The man was shot in his hip and went to the 3500 block of West Belle, where 911 was called, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic in good condition.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

No one was in custody.
