CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded 17 since Saturday, police said.

At 1:59 a.m. Sunday, a man in his 20's was shot dead in Austin, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• Most recently at 5:34 am., a 36-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, police said.

The man was in a vehicle in the 5300 Block of South Calumet Avenue when he was shot, police said.

He was hit in his arm and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said. 

• At 3:56 a.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old man was shot in Gresham, police said.

He was arguing in the 8300 block of South Green Street with another man who took out a handgun and fired shots, police said.

He was hit in his right leg and back, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

• At 3:03 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in West Garfield Park, police said.

He was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of North Kenneth Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was hit in his neck and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The victim was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 2:11 a.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in Logan Square, police said.

• At 2:14 a.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in Chinatown, police said.

• At 12:40 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Roseland, police said.

He was sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle in the 0-100 block of East 100th Place when a man approached him and fired shots, police said.

He was hit in his chest and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

The victim was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 10:17 p.m. Saturday, a 35-year-old man was shot in West Lawn, police said.

He was walking on the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West 63rd Street when several men approached him and fired shots, police said.

He was hit in his face and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

• At 9:07 p.m., a 17-year-old woman was shot in Gresham, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot and found the woman wounded in the 8700 block of South Racine Avenue, police said.

She was hit in her right knee and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, police said. She did not give any further details on the incident, police said.

• At 7:17 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in South Austin, police said.

He was walking on the sidewalk in the 4800 block of West Harrison Street when someone in a dark-colored SUV drove by and fired shots from the rear passenger seat, police said.

He was hit in his left hand and left foot and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 5:56 p.m., a 48-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said.

• At 4:39 p.m., a 42-year-old man was shot in Washington Heights, police said.

He was in a parked vehicle in the 10200 block of South Eggleston Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

He was hit in his neck and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and his condition was unknown, police said.

• At 4:32 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, police said.

He was in the 1800 block of South Komensky Avenue when he was shot, police said.

He was hit in his left shoulder and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 3:48 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in West Pullman, police said.

He was walking down the street in the 900 block of West 116th Place when someone in a light-gray Impala drove by and fired shots, police said.

He was hit in his lower back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

• At 1:32 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the 6300 block of South Artesian Avenue in Marquette Park, police said.

He was grazed in his buttocks and was taken to an area hospital in unknown condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 8:34 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in South Chicago, police said.

• At 7:53 a.m., an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were shot in Garfield Park, police said.

No one was in custody.
