The store's Great Tree, a seasonal mainstay in Macy's top-floor Walnut Room for more than 100 years, is also lit up blue for the Cubs this year:

"We started the Great Tree tradition 109 years ago, which was the first time the Cubs won the World Series," Andréa Schwartz, a Macy's spokeswoman, said in an e-mail. "We have lots to celebrate!"
East Side resident Ashley Montgomery and her two-year-old daughter, Kahliyah, were taking in the holiday windows Friday afternoon. Montgomery said she's happy the Cubs won, and that the holiday windows are back.
