LITTLE ITALY — A prominent statue of Christopher Columbus in Little Italy was tagged with anti-Trump graffiti after the election Tuesday.

The statue, which sits atop a fountain in Arrigo Park near Loomis and Polk streets on the Near West Side, was hit with red spraypaint.

"F--- Trump" was painted on the front of it. "Racist F--- You" was painted on the back.

A concrete wall next to the statue was tagged with a message saying "Blacks Queer Trans Lives Matter." Another message said "And Still I Rise."

Police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Sculptor Moses Ezekiel's statue of Columbus has been at the park since 1966. It was first exhibited in the Italian pavilion at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition.
