Pilsen Shooting Wounds Woman, 33, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 33-year-old woman was shot in Pilsen Sunday evening, Chicago Police said. 

At about 7:20 p.m. Sunday, the woman was standing next to a car in the 1700 block of West 18th Street near the 18th Street Pink Line stop when someone in a passing car began firing, police said.

She was struck in her leg and managed to get herself to UIC Hospital in fair condition, according to police.

The woman is a documented gang member, police said.

No arrests have been made.
